- On September 10, 1940 Mike
and Marie Zacherl opened Zacherl Motor Truck Sales on the River Hill
in Clarion, Pennsylvania. This was only the beginning of what has
become one of the oldest continuing businesses in the Clarion area.

- Six years later in
1946, ground was broken near the owners' home on Route 66 (now
Greenville Pike) to place a World War II surplus Quonset hut on a
larger piece of ground.
- In 1967 a new 8
bay service department and a much larger parts department was added
to the front of the Quonset hut.

- On March 12,
1974, Mike Zacherl sold the business to his daughter and son-in-law
(Rose Marie and Donald Kahle), his son (Donald Zacherl), and his
nephew (Joe Groner). On June 1 of the same year, Donald Kahle
became president of Zacherl Motor Truck Sales.

- In 1977
additional space was added to the service department to create a
fuel system inspection and repair center and to create more office
space.

- In 1987 a brand
new 8 bay service department and parts warehousing facility was
constructed beside the original 1946 facility to add more area for
both the service and parts departments.
- Ten years later, in
1997, additional office space was added to allow for expansion of
the Sales department and more cohesion between the parts, service,
and office employees.

- With a customer base that
spans all counties in northwest and central Pennsylvania and a
dedicated group of employees, today's Zacherl Motor Truck Sales will
continue to grow and prosper with one goal in mind... customer
satisfaction.
